Mathew 21: 15-19 According to the gospel of Mathew, Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem during Hosanna. The time where people were in need of a master to save and rescue them from all their bandages and sins. The only hope was on Jesus the Prince of Peace who was considered to fulfill prophesies of the prophets. But 2 reactions of Jesus after this event occurred that brought about a change in the attitude of the people regarding Jesus. 1) Jesus Cleanses the Temple: From people who tried making it a market place, in today’s context more of a business center, where He was really hurt to see the house of the Lord in a mess, no importance for worship but for worldly and materialistic pleasures. 2) Jesus Cursing the Fig Tree: When Jesus returns the very next day, he is hungry and all that could be seen nearby was a Fig tree. A great relief that could have been a solution to his hungry but situations were more challenging as the tree didn’t possess
